I am going to have baby boy in a couple of weeks; I want to make something for him but I am low on artistic inspiration. I don't want to make a blanket or booties...I'll leave that up to Granny. Plus, I live in Hawaii so it would be impractical anyway...any suggestions???

Answer
If you like to sew, you can find Simplicity and McCall's patterns for things like a diaper stacker you hang in the closet, diaper bags of various styles, safe baby toys, traveling changing pads, and all sorts of fun accessories. If you have a Joann Fabrics store anywhere near you, they're having a sale on patterns just now. I forget which brands are on sale, but it's a good price. If you don't have one of those near you, there's always www.joann.com. They have the same sales online. Then you could get your fabric somewhere locally.

The project is about building a device that travels in a âU-shapedâ track. The weight of the device must not be greater than 4.0 kg and the device is to be build using commonly available materials (e.g., toy shops, DIY hardware stores). There is no restriction placed on the source of power, e.g., it can be mechanical/electrical or a combination of both. There must be no contact by the team with the device AND the track once the run is initiated. So the question is, how do we do this?

Answer
That is a easy project in robotic. You can easily make a "follow the track robot". For examples check the following sites:
